i have a question about the google voice app for an android phone
I'm wondering if I can purchase a low end unlocked GSM android phone and then use google voice as my primary call and text service. Using a pay as you go service, would it work If I used the wifi on my phone to call and text for free using google voice while I was at home but still use up my minutes when I wasn't using wifi at home. This way I would save money because my call and texts at home would be free. Would this work? Also does google voice waste data if I'm not on wifi? Because then I would need a data plan. Thanks for any help or insights you can give me!
